what is betahouse?
Betahouse provides fully furnished student housing in Zurich for one- and two-semester stays. With flexible contracts, move-in ready rooms and thoughtfully designed shared spaces, students from around the world can feel at home from day one.
betahouse started with a simple idea:
Living comfortably in Zürich shouldn't cost a fortune. So we built something from scratch — the rooms, the systems, the whole experience — asking just one question: what does someone who want to live well, in a community-first space in the city need?
We offer modern, move-in ready accommodation in carefully selected properties. Every building is designed to make everyday life easier, combining private living spaces with shared areas that encourage connection, comfort and convenience. Whether you're arriving from another city or another country, we want you to feel at home from the moment you move in.

our three houses
betahouse currently operates three student houses on Bergstrasse in Zurich's Zürichberg district. Each house offers fully furnished rooms and shared spaces, while providing a slightly different living experience depending on the length of your stay and your preferences.
House 53 is for shorter stays — urban, activated, and ready to go.
House 55/57 is for longer stays — warmer, more residential, with full rooftop terrace access for all tenants.

Our dual-use concept:
Our buildings follow a dual-use concept. During the academic semester they operate as Betahouse student accommodation. Outside the semester, selected rooms are offered through Sigma Hostel, allowing the properties to remain active throughout the year.
